LAKE PLACID, NEW YORK June 17-21st

We use the beautiful Adirondack Mountains as the backdrop for our Lake Placid triathlon training camp. Famous for its 1980 Winter Olympics as well as annual Ironman races each July, this is an ideal place to train and enjoy the open air. Athletes swim bike and run on the Ironman course to become familiar with the terrain so that execution on race day is that much easier. From the open water swim in Mirror Lake and bike decent down into Keene, to the two loop run course out to River Road, it is the perfect training ground. A brief walk into town you will also find antique shops, restaurant and cafes to visit in your down time.

This camp will host the FDNY Triathlon Team for their 4th annual FDNYTRI CAMP. It will have a specific focus on the Ironman and Half Ironman distance Lake Placid and Mont-Tremblant races. It is also a great opportunity for quality training within a group dynamic to gain confidence, knowledge and strength for any race. It is a very suitable addition to any half ironman training plan or ironman training program. It is comprised of five days of swim, bike and run sessions as well as group discussions about nutrition, logistics and execution for successful training and a fun race day. We have group dinners each night at local restaurants and a fun BBQ on the lodge deck.

Accommodations are at the High Peaks Cyclery BaseCamp Lodges. Three fully equipped lodges with shared rooms, laundry service, private outdoor decks, full access to the bike shop for demos and equipment, one block to Mirror Lake and a short walk to the center of town.
